Solomon Jacobs, DDS

Dr. Solomon Jacobs earned his Bachelor’s degree in biology at Georgia State University. He continued his education at the second oldest dental school in the nation- Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, PA. There, he gained experience in one of the best clinical and research-driven dental programs in the nation. He went on to attend a General Practice Residency program at the Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in New York City. With the hospital being a level one trauma center, Dr. Jacobs received a unique experience that focused heavily on oral surgery and advanced dental procedures.

From a young age, Dr. Jacobs seemed to be destined for dentistry. Dr. Jacobs grew up always working with his hands. From taking things apart at home as a young boy, to working on cars for countless hours in his garage, to taking on more weekend DIY projects than he probably should have - Dr. Jacobs was always working with his hands. Dr. Jacobs even helped in designing and building our beautiful office. (He couldn’t help but be a part of the process!) With this love for everything mechanical and his hands-on approach to life, Dentistry came naturally for Dr. Jacobs since it involves a great deal of manual dexterity, hand skills, and an artistic vision. Today, Dr. Jacobs utilizes his skills and artistic finesse to provide the patients of Sandy Springs with the highest quality dental care possible.

At Dentistry of Sandy Springs, Dr. Jacobs places an emphasis on conservative dentistry and preventative care as he feels this is the best model for practicing dentistry. Dr. Jacobs recommends patients visit the dentist often for cleanings as this allows us to not only clean the teeth professionally but also gives us the opportunity to identify potential problems before they become major issues for the patient. Regular visits to the dentist allow us to remain conservative with the treatment plan and ultimately leads to healthier teeth and happier patients.

Dr. Jacobs loves to stay up-to-date on all of the latest innovations in dentistry. He has completed hundreds of hours in continuing education in all areas of dentistry including cosmetics, prosthodontics, digital dentistry, endodontics, implants, surgery, orthodontics, periodontics, and facial aesthetics.

Dr. Jacobs enjoys volunteering at dental events across the country as well as participating in dental mission trips internationally. In his spare time, Dr. Jacobs enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors. Dr. Jacobs loves to cook for his family at home as well as make the drive to check out new restaurants all around Atlanta. Dr. Jacobs is married to his college sweetheart, Ariana. They have a beautiful child and a wonderful pomksy named Brody.

If you had one word of advice on how to maintain a healthy smile, what would it be?

See your dentist on a regular basis! Preventive is the name of the game! When we see patients on a regular basis, we catch problems early and prevent them from becoming more extensive and more expensive treatments.

What is the most rewarding part of your day?

The best part of my day is when I hand my patients the mirror for the first time after completing a smile transformation. It’s a rewarding feeling like no other. Knowing that I changed a person’s life by boosting their self-confidence and self-esteem is priceless.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I like to stay as active as possible. We are very fortunate to have beautiful weather in Georgia year-round, so I like to spend as much of my time outdoors as possible. Another big hobby of mine is cooking. Both my wife and I are big-time foodies. Remaining active helps us maintain our food addiction.

Hi, my name is Marissa! I was born in Illinois, raised in Orlando, Florida, and recently moved to Atlanta after graduating hygiene school in Gainesville FL. Outside of the office, I enjoy painting, being out on the lake, and spending time with my amazing boyfriend and family.

I know that for some people, going to the dentist can be a source of stress and anxiety, but I hope to be the familiar face that you can come to know, trust, and feel comfortable with!

Madison - Dental Assistant

Hi! My name is Madison. I was born in Orlando, Florida, and have lived in the Atlanta area for several years. I have been in dentistry since 2014 and enjoy helping people overcome their dental anxieties. Outside of the office, I enjoy longboarding, wakeboarding, and anything that gets your heart rate up and your body moving. I’m so grateful to work alongside a doctor and staff that genuinely care about your oral health.

Hi, I’m Abby! I grew up in the Metro Atlanta area and I was born in Laredo, Texas. I have been in the dentistry field for almost 5 years. I enjoy helping patients understand their dental insurance and ensure they maximize their benefits!
